Waves 03:42
I'm wishing that I could be an unknown to you Oh, why do you need to much attention to feel like we are cool? I don't know what to do! I try to push you away, but you compel me on & on From the other side When you think I'm listening and I think I hear you When I'm out of sight, am I still inside your mind? Am I in your mind? I'm sending out all the waves of every signal used Oh, I wish that I could be the only one to send those waves to you But how do I get through? I try to push you away, but you compel me on & on From the other side When you think I'm listening and I think I hear you When I'm out of sight, am I still inside your mind?

Melancholy 02:36
Pour the wine In a crystal glass Refracted light Makes it feel more like a ceremony Now part of my blood & body My blood & body All that remains Are purple spills My shaking hand Makes it feel like more than a memory Now part of my blood & body Now part of my melancholy

Wild Things 04:23
Wild things, lost futures Dream dance, move closer Cement, our past time Wild grass is our path now Our path is reaching as far as we're seeking The sprawl is creeping Like a shadow each hour No place worth keeping Our children from leaving Our path, reaching as far as they're seeking And seeds grow only to fall where they fall To dry up on concrete or find the earth in time And people must never settle down Become vagabonds of spirit and of the mind Our path is reaching as far as we're seeking

about

A lost era of Wild Eye, these recordings remained unfinished because the lineup split before I was able to finish mixing these tracks. Without a proper band to play the music live, and to be honest without the enthusiasm to find and teach new musicians these complex arrangements, these recordings have sat dormant.

I am still immensely proud of the work we did and believe these songs should be a part of Wild Eye's, and the late KR Azad's, lasting musical legacy. Azad was a force who immediately injected life into the music and joy into every moment spent together. His drumming here shows technique and ingenuity far beyond any convention of genre. His drum solo to end "Melancholy" should be proof enough of that.

I hope you listen to these songs and appreciate them for what they are: a quick snapshot of a band, essentially demos. But what made this group special was never going to come from a recording studio; it was always about the songs and the people.

Rest in peace Azad.
